Built for the Princess Margaret Lottery as an Early Bird Prize, this stunning cottage is one of a kind. This was one of the tightest build timelines we’ve faced and Linwood Construction Services was up for the challenge.
We were so honoured to take on this project. Our team has built the cottage prizes for Princess Margaret Lottery for over 15 years and we are accustomed to building within the lottery timelines.
As the World Famous Early Bird Cottage prize, this cottage had its own lottery draw in advance of the main lottery. It required an earlier building timeline, compared to the main lottery draw prizes.
Linwood was extra pressed for time due to unforeseen permitting delays, which made the time we had available to build the home to completion before the draw date, much more limited than our usual projects.
Despite this setback, our team of top tier builders and Project Managers persevered and had the project ready in time for the lottery draw.
Typically, building a home in Ontario takes much longer. Timelines can vary for a variety of reasons, sometimes these can be unforeseen, such as delayed permitting.
Other times, the construction moves forward with limited delays, but each project is different.
The time it takes to build a cottage in Ontario will depend on a variety of factors, including the size and complexity of the cottage, the availability of materials and labor, and the weather conditions during the construction period.
On average, it may take several months to a year or more to build a cottage, depending on these and other factors.
It is important to carefully plan and coordinate the construction process to ensure that the project is completed efficiently and to the desired standards.
With the help of a driven and experienced team, Linwood Construction Services was able to get the prize home up and complete in time for the fall 2022 giveaway.
