Three Awards of Distinction
At the latest National Home Builders’ Awards Ceremony presented by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association, Linwood was the proud recipient of three national awards of distinction. The National SAM (Sales and Marketing) Awards were presented at the Association’s annual convention in Victoria, BC.
National recognition for Top Finalist in the following categories went to:
“The Windwood”
Most Outstanding Custom Home Over 4,000 Sq. Ft.

“The National SAM Awards are the highest recognition of excellence in our industry,” said Gary Friend, President of the CHBA. The annual competition is open to all CHBA national members. An independent panel of judges from across Canada reviewed all entries. Craig McFarlane, Linwood’s Vice President of Retail Sales, represented Linwood at the conference.
Aside from the striking Douglas fir timbers and premium Western Red Cedar characteristic of Linwood custom home packages, the home package designs were all created using Linwood’s Site Specific Design™ process. This unique process:
- creates a home that enhances the unique characteristics of each piece of property
- addresses building code and permitting requirements
- maximizes the sun’s warmth in cooler seasons/climates, and reduces its impact in hot seasons/climates
- determines the best land use with minimal impact on the environment
