2010 Princess Margaret Post & Beam Prize Cottage
For the third consecutive year, Linwood is proud to have partnered with The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation to help make the Princess Margaret Prize Cottage a dream come true. The magnificent “Glenorchard” cottage concept, design, full construction drawings, premium home package materials, décor, furnishings and appliances were supplied by Linwood Custom Homes. Located in the Muskoka Lakes region of Ontario, Canada, the 2010 Prize Cottage, valued at $1.135 million, will be awarded to a lucky winner of The Princess Margaret Welcome Home Sweepstakes® lottery for Cancer Research
in December of this year.
Showcasing Western Red Cedar accents, vaulted ceilings, and optimum views, the 1931-sq.-ft. cottage was designed by Linwood Vice-President of Retail Sales, Craig McFarlane. Cindy McKellar of Linwood Interiors was responsible for the interior design and décor of the Glenorchard. The Muskoka Building Company conducted the build and project management. “This one-of-a-kind dream cottage was built from natural, renewable materials and energy-efficient building products,” says Linwood President Bill Mascott. He adds, “We are very pleased to continue to work with The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, and to be a part of this very important event.”
